Harvey Weinstein Speaks Openly to Cast of Finding Neverland After Tony Lock-Out | Playbill

News Harvey Weinstein Speaks Openly to Cast of Finding Neverland After Tony Lock-Out Harvey Weinstein, the Hollywood producer who has been making forays onto Broadway with Finding Neverland, gave a pep talk to his cast following the announcement of the 2015 Tony nominations, which included none for his new musical.

According to the New York Post, Weinstein told both the cast and crew of Finding Neverland that the lack of nominations "was a missile, squarely aimed at me" and "had no reflection on them or what takes place onstage every single night."

Weinstein, the New York daily also reports, wheeled out a cake with an inscription that read, "We nominate you the best cast on Broadway."

Matthew Morrison stars in the new musical at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, which has been grossing more than $1 million per week.

The morning of the nominations, Weinstein issued a remarkably mild statement in response to the Finding Neverland shutout.
