Frears — director of David Marshall Grant's recent Pen — has also staged Terrorism, Where We're Born, God Hates The Irish and Rebeck and Alexandra Gersten-Vassilaros' 2004 Pulitzer Prize finalist Omnium Gatherum. The design team for The Water's Edge will feature Alexander Dodge (set), Junghyun Georgia Lee (costume), Frances Aronson (lighting) and Vincent Olivieri (sound).
