HBO is currently developing a dark musical comedy series, according to Deadline.com.

Entitled Edison, the half-hour series will star Bob’s Burgers’ John Roberts, who is co-writing the comedy with H. Jon Benjamin. The program is from Amy Poehler and Brooke Posch’s production company, Paper Kite.

Edison, according to the industry website, is “loosely based on Roberts’ life. It centers on John (Roberts), a 40-year-old real estate broker who dreams of living life in the big city but remains stuck in his small hometown of Edison, NJ.”

Executive producers for Universal TV include Roberts, Benjamin, Poehler, Posch, and 3 Arts’ Dave Becky.
