News HBO "Masterclass" Episode With Patti LuPone Will Air in April (Plus Video) Two-time Tony Award-winning actress Patti LuPone will work with aspiring performers from across the U.S. in the April 1 episode of the Emmy-nominated HBO documentary series "Masterclass."

Karen Goodman and Kirk Simon produce and direct the half-hour series that debuted in 2010. The current season also includes episodes featuring John Guare and Bobby McFerrin.

Portions of LuPone's Gypsy in My Soul concert engagement in Madison, WI, were filmed for inclusion in the segment featuring the Evita and Gypsy star.

During the episode, LuPone works with students on such songs as "I Miss the Mountains," "Change" and "Without You," among others. She also doles out her own words of wisdom about acting over dinner at Joe Allen.

Previous installments of "Masterclass" have included Edward Albee, Liv Ullman, Placido Domingo, Jacques D'Amboise and Olafur Alliason. The episodes feature artists working directly with a select group of talented students.
