Stuck, a new pop movie musical, will hit select theatres April 19.
Based on the stage musical by Riley Thomas, the film stars Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul), Amy Madigan (A Streetcar Named Desire), musical sensation Ashanti, Omar Chaparro (Show Dogs, Compadres), Arden Cho (Teen Wolf) and Gerard Canonico (Be More Chill) as New York Subway commuters with stories to sing.
Directed and adapted by Michael Berry, Stuck features original music by Thomas, Tim Young, and Ben Maughan, and choreography Shannon Lewis. Each song is written in the style of each character with elements of pop, rap, Motown, and classical.
Canonico currently stars as Rich in the new musical Be More Chill. He made his Broadway debut in the original production of Les Misérables as a replacement for Gavroche. He returned to the Main Stem in 2006 as part of the original company of Spring Awakening. Since then, he has appeared in American Idiot and Groundhog Day.
