Before The Prom lands on Broadway in October, get a first listen to a number from the new musical below. Caitlin Kinnunen performs the song "Dance With You" as Emma, an Indiana high schooler whose simple desire to take her girlfriend to the prom sparks a media frenzy—a media frenzy that catches the attention of a group of out-of-work Broadway professionals.

The song from composer Matthew Sklar and lyricist Chad Beguelin explores Emma's struggle to maintain a sense of normalcy as a teenager while becoming a national symbol for something much larger.

The musical, featuring a book by Beguelin and Bob Martin and directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw, will begin performances October 23 at the Cort Theatre. Opening night is set for November 15.

The cast also includes Tony winner Beth Leavel, Tony nominees Christopher Sieber and Brooks Ashmanskas, Isabelle McCalla, Angie Schworer, Josh Lamon, and Courtenay Collins—all reprising their performances from the 2016 world premiere in Atlanta. Joining them for the Broadway bow is Michael Potts.
