Composer Eli Bolin has lined up several recent young Broadway stars for his August 2 showcase at Feinstein’s/54 Below cabaret in New York as part of the venue’s “New Writers at 54!” summer series.
Son of Schmolin: More Songs from Eli Bolin will feature Nick Blaemire (tick, tick…BOOM!, Godspell), Eddie Cooper (Little Shop of Horrors), Lilli Cooper (SpongeBob SquarePants, Spring Awakening), Josh Radnor (Disgraced), Juwan Crawley (Aladdin, Spamilton), Max Crumm (Grease, Disaster!), Gideon Glick (Significant Other, Spring Awakening), Jed Resnick (Avenue Q), Ally Bonino, and Allison Posner.
Eli Bolin wrote songs for the Off-Broadway musical Found, and the New York Musical Theatre Festival production Volleygirls, written with Sam Forman. The Last Song of Eddie Scourge, his rock ’n’ roll Christmas collaboration with Mike Pettry, debuted at Feinstein’s/54 Below in November 2016.
Directed by Moritz von Stuelpnagel, the 9:30 PM concert is a sequel to Bolin’s first Feinstein’s/54 Below showcase in 2015. The new show will have music direction by Julie McBride (SpongeBob SquarePants), and is produced by Erica Rotstein and Dana M. Lerner.
Tickets, which cost $25–$90, plus a $25 food & drink minimum, can be ordered at 54Below.com.
