DuBois, Prophet in Limbo Closes in NYC, March 31 The ads for the new play by Dan Snow and Alexa Kelly include a quote by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.: "History cannot ignore W.E.B. DuBois." In his honor, Heartbeat Productions presents W.E.B. DuBois, Prophet in Limbo at the Metro Baptist Church in Manhattan. The show will close as scheduled March 31 after opening Feb. 23, the anniversary of DuBois' birth.

The ads for the new play by Dan Snow and Alexa Kelly include a quote by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.: "History cannot ignore W.E.B. DuBois." In his honor, Heartbeat Productions presents W.E.B. DuBois, Prophet in Limbo at the Metro Baptist Church in Manhattan. The show will close as scheduled March 31 after opening Feb. 23, the anniversary of DuBois' birth.

A scholar, sociologist and activist rolled into one, William Edward Burghardt DuBois was a man of many talents. In Prophet in Limbo we journey through his life, from earning his Ph.D. from Harvard to aiding in the foundation of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.

The co-playwrights take on double duty as Kelly directs the production and Snow stars as W.E.B. DuBois. Brian Richardson is also featured in the cast. Designers for the show include Ruben Arana-Downs (sets), Herrick Goldman (lights) and Terry Leong (costumes).
