Robin Lefevre directs Heartbreak House, the Roundabout Theatre Company's first entry of the 2006-2007 season. The work began Sept. 15 and opened Oct. 11 for a run through Dec. 17.

Penned by Shaw, Heartbreak House follows "the unlikely romantic encounters that occur in an estate on the English countryside," according to Roundabout. "Romance springs eternal but never mutual, and the most successful relationships have the least to do with love."

Kurtz — recently seen in her Emmy Award-nominated performance (her ninth) on Showtime's "Huff" — played in Roundabout's The Mineola Twins. The actress earned a Tony nomination for her last appearance on Broadway in Frozen. Other stage credits include Imaginary Friends, Love Letters, A History of the American Film, Tartuffe, Ah, Wilderness! and The House of Blue Leaves, Fifth of July. She earned Tony Awards for the latter two.

She is joined in the cast by Philip Bosco, Byron Jennings, Lily Rabe and Laila Robins as well as Bill Camp, John Christopher Jones, Gareth Saxe and Jenny Sterlin.

Tickets for Heartbreak House at the American Airlines Theatre, 227 West 42 St., are available by calling Roundabout ticket services at (212) 719-1300. For more information, go to www.roundabouttheatre.org.
