For one-night-only the singer-actress will offer a concert to benefit the Children and Family Initiative of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The 7 PM evening — entitled Home — will feature songs from the worlds of pop, R & B and Broadway. Heather Headley earned a Tony Award for her performance in the title role of Disney's Aida. She has also appeared on Broadway as Nala in The Lion King, in the all-star benefit concert of Dreamgirls and the City Center Encores! production of Do Re Mi. Her debut R&B recording, "This Is Who I Am," was released last year on the RCA label. Headley was also recently nominated for two Grammy Awards — Best New Artist and Best Female R&B Vocal Performance — but lost in both categories.
