According to a report in the UK's Daily Mail, the show is set to begin performances at the Adelphi Theatre in November, prior to an official opening in early December. It is being directed by Thea Sharrock (Equus in the West End/Broadway, After the Dance at the National Theatre) and produced by David Ian and Michael Harrison.

Headley previously originated the roles of Nala in Broadway's The Lion King and played the title role in the original Broadway production of Aida.

According to the Mail, the song stack for The Bodyguard will include Whitney Houston's big hit from that film, "I Will Always Love You," as well as "Queen Of The Night," "I'm Your Baby Tonight," "Saving All My Love For You," "So Emotional," "Run To You," "I Wanna Dance With Somebody," "I Have Nothing," "All The Man That I Need," "I'm Every Woman," "All At Once," "How Will I Know" and "One Moment In Time."
