TheaterWorks' associate artistic director Rob Ruggiero (OB's All Under Heaven ) directs Edward Albee's Pulitzer Prize-winner Three Tall Women , opening Jan. 22, in Hartford, CT. The play began previews Jan. 15 and will run through Feb. 21.

Women tells of an old woman who is tended to by two other woman as she dies and is visited by a silent young man. The look at three women at different stages of life also won the New York Drama Critics' Award, Outer Critic Circle Award, the Lucille Lortel Award and the Obie Award.

Ruggiero, who directed TheatreWorks' sold-out production of Full Gallop last October, was represented Off-Broadway this season with the Valerie Harper one-woman biography of Pearl S. Buck, All Under Heaven. His Three Women are Lucille Patton (Woman A), Lisa Bostnar (Woman C) and Kathleen Butler (Woman B), who appeared in the New York production of the play.

The design team includes Michael Schweikardt (set), John Wade (lighting) and Margaret Carbonneau (costumes).
