The film, penned by Michael Din and Juri Henley-Cohn, is a contemporary adaptation of Anton Chekhov's The Seagull, set in the Hamptons.
The cast will also feature Maggie Grace, Joan Chen and John Robinson.
Din, Henley-Cohn and Janine Giaime will produce the film, which is scheduled to begin shooting next year.
Moss has appeared as a performer on Broadway in West Side Story; Drat! The Cat!; God's Favorite; So Long, 174th Street; The Robber Bridegroom; and I Love My Wife. As an acting coach, he has worked with stars such as Hunt, Duchovny, Hilary Swank, Leonardo diCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Jim Carrey, Jennifer Garner and Tea Leoni, among others.
Hunt has been seen on Broadway in Life (x) 3, Twelfth Night and Our Town. She won the Academy Award for "As Good As It Gets" and four Emmy Awards for her work on NBC's "Mad About You."
Duchovny has been seen Off-Broadway in the MCC Theater and Geffen Playhouse co-production of The Break of Noon. He won Golden Globes for his work on "The X-Files" and "Californication."
