Mr. Polic was perhaps best known for playing Jerry Silver on the sitcom "Webster." In 1975 he played the Sheriff of Nottingham on the unsuccessful Mel Brooks television show "When Things Were Rotten." A busy voice actor, he was also the voice of The Scarecrow on the animated series "Batman."
On stage, he appeared in over 70 regional and local productions, including the world premiere of Sister Act: The Musical, in which he originated the role of Monsignor Howard.
His stage-directing credits included Neil Simon’s Fools, Dracula, Two Gentlemen of Corona and Nebraska, Brine County Wedding.
