Expanded Arts' popular NY summer series "Shakespeare in the Park(ing) Lot" will continue its summer series with William Shakespeare's Henry V, Aug. 5-29, opening Aug. 12. The play is free and will be performed in the open air of the municipal parking lot at Broome and Ludlow Streets on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.
Jerry McAllister will direct this second parking lot offering. He plans to give the audience a glimpse of the backstage life of the production's company as the play is being performed. The cast includes Jason Brown, Joe Corey, Kathleen Delaney, Crystal Gandrud, Jack Halpin, James Jackson Jr., Chris Knierim, David Lida, Kelly McAllister, Jack Nasi, Vinnie Penna, Chris Santangelo, Baz Snider, Rachel Solomon, Steven Williams and Lee Winston.
Director Jerry McAllister said that his concept "heightens the drama of the play as [the actors'] backstage selves mirror the characters they create onstage."
