Henshall, who was most recently on the West End stage in the short-lived Marguerite, will be backed by the BBC Big Band for an evening titled From Broadway to Hollywood. The March 6 at 7:30 PM concert will feature such tunes as "I Only Have Eyes for You," "You Made Me Love You," "Don't Mean a Thing If It Ain't Got That Swing," "The Man I Love," "Don't Rain On My Parade," "Love Is Here to Stay" and "Folks Who Live on the Hill."

Friedman, who made her Broadway debut in The Woman in White, will play the London venue March 20 at 7:30 PM. Maria Friedman Sings Sondheim will feature such songs as "Broadway Baby," "Marry Me a Little" and a Sunday in the Park with George medley.

Ruthie Henshall was last seen in the West End in the title role of the Michel Legrand/Boublil and Schonberg musical Marguerite at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket. Other West End credits include the original London casts of the import of Broadway's Crazy for You (Prince Edward Theatre, 1993), She Loves Me (Savoy Theatre, 1994, winning the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical) and Chicago (playing Roxie Hart at the Adelphi, 1997). She also starred in the British premiere of Peggy Sue Got Married (Shaftesbury Theatre, 2001) and took over leading roles in Miss Saigon, Les Misérables, Oliver! and The Woman in White. Henshall has been seen on Broadway in Miss Saigon, Chicago (playing Velma Kelly) and Putting It Together.

Maria Friedman won Olivier Awards for her roles in Passion, Ragtime and the earlier version of her concert show, By Special Arrangement. Other leading roles include appearances in the West End in Chicago, Blues in the Night and The Woman in White (subsequently re-creating her performance at Broadway's Marquis Theatre), as well as Lady in the Dark and Sunday in the Park with George, both at the National Theatre.
