It’s the latest in a New Year series of cast changes at the Richard Rodgers Theatre.

Original cast member Okieriete Onaodowan ended his run in the dual roles of Hercules Mulligan and James Madison in the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical December 24 . He has been succeeded by J. Quinton Johnson, who stepped into the parts January 6.

Killam, the former Saturday Night Live cast member who was seen as the Dentist in the 2015 City Center production of Little Shop of Horrors, will replace Rory O'Malley in the role of King George. O'Malley, who will star in the musical's national tour, will conclude his run on Broadway January 15.

Medina will make his Broadway debut as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton in March (on a date to be announced); he succeeds Jordan Fisher, who will play his final performance March 5. Medina was seen as Otto in the first national tour of Spring Awakening, Usnavi in In the Heights at Theater Under the Stars, and Young Sal in The Public Theater’s The Capeman.

Javier Muñoz currently stars as Alexander Hamilton on Broadway in a company that also features Brandon Victor Dixon as Aaron Burr; Mandy Gonzalez as Angelica Schuyler; Lexi Lawson as Eliza Hamilton; Alysha Deslorieux as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds; Michael Luwoye as Muñoz’s alternate; Rory O’Malley as King George III; Jordan Fisher as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton; and Seth Stewart as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson.

The ensemble includes Andrew Chappelle, Hope Easterbrook, Karla Puno Garcia, David Guzman, Gregory Haney, Neil Haskell, Sasha Hollinger, Thayne Jasperson, Elizabeth Judd, Roddy Kennedy, Morgan Marcell, Jevon McFerrin, Eliza Ohman, Antuan Magic Raimone, Gregory Treco, Ricky Tripp, Kamille Upshaw, Tanairi Sade Vazquez, Voltaire Wade-Greene, Nik Walker, Donald Webber, JR., Zelig Williams, and Syndee Winters.

With book, music, and lyrics by Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, music direction/orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, Hamilton is based on Ron Chernow’s biography of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton. The musical won 11 2016 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Score, Book of a Musical, Direction of a Musical, Choreography, and Orchestrations.
