The Arvada Center/Colorado will present Jerry’s Girls, a “celebration of the music and lyrics of Jerry Herman” beginning Nov. 7. After a four-week engagement, Jerry’s Girls tours Colorado, Calif., and Arizona through March 2001.

Twenty years ago, original director Larry Alford collaborated on the revue with Herman for an Off-Broadway production. Jerry’s Girls features songs from Hello, Dolly!, Mame, La Cage aux Folles, Mack and Mabel, Dear World and Milk and Honey among others.

Jerry’s Girl’s ran at the St. James on Broadway 1985-86 starring Chita Rivera, Dorothy Loudon and Uggams. An American tour starred Carol Channing, Leslie Uggams and Andrea McArdle. A remastered CD is available on Jay Records. Production notes indicate the show has also been done in Australia, Japan, South Africa and Great Britain.
