News High Fidelity's Colella to Perform at Coyote Rep Gala The new theatre company Coyote Rep will hold a gala fundraiser at the Players' Club Jan. 29.

The evening will feature a performance by Jenn Colella, who was recently seen on Broadway in the new musical High Fidelity. The gala will also include the presentation of two Moon Awards, which honor outstanding contributions to the theatre.

Rebecca Tourino will receive a Moon Award for Outstanding Playwriting. Among Tourino's works are The Naked Eye Planets and The Quickening. The recipient of the second Moon Award will be announced shortly.

The gala evening will begin at 6:30 PM with a patron's dinner, followed at 8 PM by the cocktail reception, entertainment, raffle and auction.

Coyote Rep, a not-for-profit theatre company founded by and comprised largely of graduates from UC Irvine's Masters of Fine Arts in Theater Program, is dedicated to "balancing process and production, committed to developing, producing and inspiring original plays through innovative means." Coyote Rep will present Tourino's The Naked Eye Planets at the American Theater of Actors March 9-25.

Jenn Colella made her Broadway debut in Urban Cowboy, earning an Outer Critics Circle Award nomination for her performance. She was seen as Pippi, the kleptomaniac stripper in the NYMF hit The Great American Trailer Park. Colella's other theatrical credits include roles in Peter Pan, Angels in America, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Company, Sylvia and Victor/Victoria. The actress also recently appeared in the world premiere of the Twyla Tharp-Bob Dylan musical The Times They Are A-Changin' at San Diego's Old Globe.
