The contest was presented in partnership with the Educational Theatre Foundation. Bozarth is three-star member of Thespian Troupe 8167. “I love this song because it teaches us to be ourselves no matter what others think,” she said in a statement.

The winning package includes a two-night trip to New York, round-trip air fare, and accommodations at the Time Hotel. Bozarth, who was selected in a random drawing, will also have a one-on-one session with a member of the show’s creative team, as well as a backstage look at the show.

A percentage of ticket sales from The Prom are donated to the ETF, which was launched in 2017 as the philanthropic arm of the Educational Theatre Association.

Julie Cohen Theobald, president of ETF said, “We are so excited and grateful to The Prom for pioneering this type of partnership. Thanks to you this high school student will have an unforgettable experience learning first-hand from theatre professionals, and the generous donation from the proceeds of your ticket sales will help enhance theatre education experiences for countless more students in their schools."
