Dan Goggin's musical Nunsense opened Aug. 7 at The Quatro Theatre in Rio de Janeiro, directed by Wolf Maya. Starring Lelo Filho, Wilson Santos, Fernando Marinho, Beto Mettig and Diogo Lopes Filho. This cast is also known as the "The Baiana de Patifaria Company".

Dan Goggin's musical Nunsense opened Aug. 7 at The Quatro Theatre in Rio de Janeiro, directed by Wolf Maya. Starring Lelo Filho, Wilson Santos, Fernando Marinho, Beto Mettig and Diogo Lopes Filho. This cast is also known as the "The Baiana de Patifaria Company".

Maya previously directed hit productions of Nunsense in Rio in 1987, and in Sao Paulo in 1996.

That Sao Paulo production was the first of this musical by the famous Baiana de Patifaria Company. This Company is from the northwest of Brazil and is celebrating with this work their 10th on the Brazilian stage.

Also featured is the work of Sergio Souto (Musical Director), Beth Rangel (Choreography), Ricardo Brugger (Scenery) and Flavio Marinho (Translation).

Tickests cost R$20,00-R$25,00-R$30,00. For information call 021 274 9895 at The Quatro Theatre, Rio de Janeiro. After seeing the show in Sao Paulo, Goggin invited this Brazilian Production to perform in NYC. Negotiations reportedly are underway. Goggin attended the Aug. 7 Rio opening night.

Actor and producer Lelo Filho said the show is reportedly is booked to open Nov. 25 at The St Clement´s Theatre (46th Street between Ninth and Tenth Avenues in New York. Sean O'Flynn will be the executive producer; Paul Miller will design lighting.
