News Hold On To Me Darling Begins Tonight Off-Broadway The premiere from This Is Our Youth's Kenneth Lonergan stars Timothy Olyphant.

Timothy Olyphant ("Rectify," "Justifed") returns to the New York stage for the first time in 20 years in the world premiere of Hold On To Me Darling by Kenneth Lonergan. The Atlantic Theater production, helmed by artistic director Neil Pepe, will officially open March 14.

In Lonergan's newest work, Olyphant plays a world-famous country and western star returning to his Tennessee hometown. The cast also includes Adelaide Clemens, Tony nominee Jonathan Hogan, Jenn Lyon, Keith Nobbs and C.J. Wilson.

Performances take place at Atlantic Theater Company’s Linda Gross Theater.

"On learning of his mother’s death, world famous country and western star Strings McCrane (Olyphant) begins questioning the meaning of his life and what it all adds up to," state production notes. "Determined to abandon his celebrity and career, he moves back to his hometown in Tennessee. It doesn’t go well. This compelling new play from acclaimed playwright Kenneth Lonergan examines the costs of fame, fortune and narcissism in pursuit of the American Dream."

Playwright and screenwriter Lonergan's plays include the Tony-nominated This Is Our Youth and Pulitzer Prize finalist The Waverly Gallery, among others.

Hold On To Me Darling features scenic design by Walt Spangler, costume design by Suttirat Larlarb, lighting design by Brian MacDevitt, sound design by David Van Tieghem, dialects by Stephen Gabis and casting by Telsey + Company.
