The show, which previously went up at Theatre Row in the fall, will include the mysterious appearance of champagne and Christmas trees, in addition to an audience member sawed in half. Referring to Gutenplan, a press release notes that "unlike classical magicians who rely on trick boxes, gaudy costumes, and heavy theatrical effects, he relies on quick hands, subtle wit, and charming routines."
Gutenplan has performed across the U.S. and in London, Israel and Spain.
Theatre Row is at 410 West 42nd Street. For tickets, priced $30, call (212) 279-4200 or visit www.ticketcentral.com.
