The special performances of the two-person musical will feature a cast of rotating actors including Tracie Thoms (Rent, Stick Fly), Shoshana Bean (Wicked), Lindsay Pearce ("The Glee Project") and Chase Williamson (Spring Awakening).

Richard Israel directs the three-performance engagement that has musical direction by Michael Orland.

The Last Five Years traces the relationship and marriage of a novelist and an actress. Their courtship, marriage and ultimate break-up are told with one character moving chronologically forward and the other moving backward. The timing of the two stories intersects only once, on their wedding day.

The Last Five Years ran Off-Broadway in 2002. Brown won 2002 Drama Desk Awards for Outstanding Lyrics and Outstanding Score. He received a Tony Award for his score for Parade. His other credits include Songs for a New World, Urban Cowboy and 13.
