News Hollywood's Alice Ripley to Offer Benefit Concert for ArtSpeak! Side Show Tony nominee Alice Ripley will perform a benefit concert for ArtSpeak! Sept. 29.

Ripley, who is currently starring in the world premiere production of Ken Ludwig's Shakespeare in Hollywood at the Arena Stage, will offer a 7 PM concert at Mimi's American Bistro in Washington, D.C. The concert will benefit ArtSpeak!, an arts education program that brings performing artists to Northern Virginia schools. Artists who have taken part in the program include such Broadway favorites as Kristin Chenoweth, Melissa Errico, Sally Mayes, Brian Stokes Mitchell and Tony-winning A Chorus Line composer Marvin Hamlisch. Ripley will perform songs from her acclaimed solo CD, "Everything's Fine," as well as new songs and some surprise musical theatre favorites. Ripley, who recently headlined a production of Tell Me On a Sunday at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, earned a Tony nomination for her performance as conjoined twin Violet Hilton in the musical Side Show. She has also appeared on Broadway in The Rocky Horror Show, James Joyce's The Dead, Sunset Boulevard, The Who's Tommy, Les Misérables and in the City Center Encores! production of Li'l Abner as well as the concert run of King David.
