News Home at Last: Once Sets Dublin Premiere The Tony winning Broadway musical Once, which earlier this year ended both a three year run on Broadway and a two year run in the West End,is heading home. It will begin performances at Dublin's Olympia Theatre July 4 prior to an official opening July 14, for a run through Aug. 22.

Set in Dublin and based on the Indie film of the same name that was written and directed by John Carney, the musical features music and lyrics by Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová and a Tony award-winning book by Enda Walsh.

In a press statement, Walsh has commented, "I'm absolutely delighted that Once is coming to Dublin and will play for the summer at the Olympia Theatre. This sweet little love story, so beautifully dreamt in film by John Carney, has travelled a long way on theatre stages around the world--and is finally returning home."

The Dublin cast will be led by Tom Parsons as Guy, Megan Riordan as Girl, with Sandra Callaghan as Baruska, Phelim Drew as Billy, Lisa Fox as Ex-Girfriend, Bob Kelly as Eamon, Michael Mahony as Emcee, Bill Murphy as Da, Dylan Reid as Andrej,Rickie O’Neill as Svec and Ruth Westley as Reza.

Once was originally produced on Broadway by Barbara Broccoli, John N. Hart Jr., Patrick Milling Smith, Frederick Zollo, Brian Carmody, Michael G. Wilson, Orin Wolf, The Shubert Organization and Executive Producer Robert Cole, in association with New York Theatre Workshop. The Dublin production is produced by Landmark Productions (one of Ireland's leading theatre producers) and presented in association with MCD.
