Casa Mañana chairman Teresa Hubbard announced that Hood will succeed former president and executive producer Denton Yockey, who revealed last April that he would depart the company to join the Starlight Theatre Association in Kansas City.

In a statement Hubbard said, "We are continuing our search for a new president and executive producer and Rob's appointment as interim will provide us more time to be thorough in this process."

Since Yockey's announcement in April, Casa Mañana has been searching for his replacement, hoping to have the position filled by Sept. 1 – the date Yockey assumed the role of president and executive producer of the Starlight Theatre.

Hood, who serves as president of the Live Theater League of Tarrant County, has been a board member of Casa Mañana since 1996, and has over 15 years of theatre experience as a performer, writer and director.

"I am honored that the executive committee chose me as interim while we actively pursue a permanent replacement," Hood stated. "I am a long-time supporter of the theatre arts in Fort Worth and am flattered by this opportunity to represent the largest performing arts organization in Tarrant County." Tickets for the 50th anniversary season at Casa Mañana are currently on sale by phoning (817) 332-2272 or by visiting www.casamanana.org.
