Everything is rosey for 73-year-old film, stage and nightclub star Donald O'Connor, who was reportedly in ill health in February. The star of the classic film musical, "Singin' in the Rain" and Broadway musicals Bring Back Birdie and Show Boat (the 1982 revival), will appear on stage in Palm Springs, CA., May 28 after recovering from a debilitating pneumonia that had him in critical condition and on a ventilator in early February 1999. He was released from the hospital Feb. 27.

Beginning May 28, O'Connor will be part of The Fabulous Palm Springs Follies at the Historic Plaza Theatre. The show features senior hoofers and entertainers. O'Connor performed with the show late 1998 and early 1999 before falling ill.
