News Hopkins' The Success of Failure (Or, The Failure of Success) to Play St. Ann's Warehouse Cynthia Hopkins' will return to St. Ann's Warehouse with the final installment in her Accidental Trilogy, The Success of Failure (Or, The Failure of Success), which begins performances May 22.

Developed with designers Jim Findlay and Jeff Sugg, the New York premiere of Success will run through June 2 at St. Ann's under the direction of D.J. Mendel.

The Success of Failure (Or, The Failure of Success), according to press notes, "is the heroic saga of protagonist Ruom Yes Noremac's secret mission to save the world. During the course of her lonely journey through space, Ruom Yes Noremac realizes that only by failing to save the Earth can she succeed in saving the Universe, offering a fascinating exploration of time, space, and the pros and cons of evolution."

The new work is predominantly a solo performance by Hopkins, featuring vocals by Findlay and Sugg. Success of Failure also incorporates several additional "characters" portrayed on screen by Hopkins. The trilogy includes Accidental Nostalgia and Must Don't Whip 'Um.
