From Israel Horovitz, the playwright who penned such plays as Line (which is in its 26th year at the 13th St. Repertory Theatre), The Indian Wants the Bronx and Park Your Car in Harvard Yard, comes the New York City premiere of Barking Sharks, running Jan. 24-Feb. 18 at T. Schreiber Studio's Gloria Maddox Theatre.

The title was lifted from a local 1980s rock band in Gloucester, MA where the story is set. The play focuses on New York advertising executive who, after 25 years of success in the city, packs up and heads back home to Massachusetts to be a fisherman. But will the life he led before still be there after all this time?

T. Schreiber Studios founder Terry Schreiber directs the production, which is the second piece by Horovitz to see the stage this season. Horovitz's Captains and Courage ran in November, following the season opener of Sweeney Todd. After Sharks, the season will continue with Six Degrees Of Separation, The Last Sortie and The Heidi Chronicles.
