Several Broadway actors will take part in an upcoming reading of the new musical How the Nurse Feels Oct. 20 at New World Stages.

The by-invitation-only reading is scheduled to feature the talents of Marissa Parry, Kevin Earley, Ace Young, Lindsay Mendez, Kate Loprest, Kyle Dean Massey and Kirsten Wyatt. Michael G. Walling directs.

How the Nurse Feels, which is based on Greg Changon's award-winning story, features lyrics by David Green, music by composer John Glaudini and book by David Green and Debbie Lamedman.

"The Lincoln Park High School senior class is presenting Romeo and Juliet," according to How the Nurse Feels press notes. "The show is headed for disaster. The drama teacher left town unexpectedly and the show is now being directed by the head football coach. Seventeen year old Tess Powell, Licoln Park's best actress, plays The Nurse. Romeo is played by her gay best friend, Bailey, and Juliet is played by her arch rival, Trudy Painter, the head cheerleader and most popular girl on campus. The show is falling a part before their eyes and, worst of all, Tess Powell has no idea How The Nurse Feels."

New World Stages is located in Manhattan at 340 West 50th Street. Industry folk interested in attending the reading should call (949) 487-7253 or email howthenursefeels@hotmail.com.
