How Theatre Helped Stimulate Debate About Gay Marriage

News   How Theatre Helped Stimulate Debate About Gay Marriage In honor of the Supreme Court's historic ruling on gay marriage in America, here is a roundup of how the theatre community has dealt with this issue.

The concluding paragraph of the June 26 majority opinion agrees: "No union is more profound than marriage, for it embodies the highest ideals of love, fidelity, devotion, sacrifice, and family. ... [The challengers] ask for equal dignity in the eyes of the law. The Constitution grants them that right."
