McGillin fills in for a vacationing Hugh Panaro, who will return to the production July 5. McGillin has played the title role in the Broadway production more than any other actor, with a run of over 3-1/2 years (from Aug. 23, 1999-April 12, 2003). He previously returned for two weeks in December 2003 for Panaro.

In addition to The Phantom of the Opera, McGillin has worked with director Harold Prince on Kiss of the Spider Woman and the recent Stephen Sondheim-John Weidman musical, Bounce.
