According to a report in the U.K’s Daily Mail, Jackman said, “We’re planning to do some Sunday night concerts when I’m in London in the spring. We’re looking for the right space, and the idea is to do the shows when I’ve got time off from Les Miserables. I just want them to be fun. I feel like I should have a whisky in my hand, like Dean Martin, and then get Robbie Williams to come on and join me.”
The Daily Mail also reports that Jackman is expected to perform the show on Broadway in October next year.
Jackman last appeared on the London stage when he played Curly in Trevor Nunn’s 1998 production of Oklahoma! but has since twice performed on Broadway, in The Boy From Oz and A Steady Rain. In the forthcoming film version of Les Miserables, Jackman is set to star as Jean Valjean.
