News Hunter Foster Directs Industry Reading of New Musical On the Air Today An industry reading of the new musical On the Air, based on the lives of sibling performers Jack and Loretta Clemens, is presented Sept. 22 in Manhattan.

Tony nominee Hunter Foster directs a cast that includes Ruth Gottschall as Mrs. Clemens, Robert and Cristina Farruggia as Jack and Loretta Clemens, respectively, Ryan Vasquez as Fred Tupper and Obie Award winner Jonathan Hammond as Bob White. The ensemble features Nicole Colòn, Mark Hawbecker, Adam Hill, TJ Larke, Sharon Malane and Katelyn Spinosa.

The new musical has a book by real-life siblings Robert and Cristina Farruggia, who also co-wrote the lyrics, with music by Robert Farruggia.

Musical direction is provided by Paul Masse.

On the Air, according to press notes, is "an original musical based on the lives of Jack and Loretta Clemens, a real life brother and sister duo that started in Vaudeville and went on to star in Radio and Television. It's a story that deals with major changes in society and entertainment throughout the early half of the 20th century, but at its core, the story focuses on the siblings' relationship and the balance of their dreams."
