According to a spokesperson for the production, "After a sold-out showcase that provided an opportunity to see the show on its feet in front of live audiences, the producer has decided the best way to build on this success is to take the show back into development for a production to be announced at a later date."
Directed and adapted by Christopher Carter Sanderson, the showcase featured Abe Goldfarb in the lead role. He was joined by Athena Reich, Jacklyn Collier, Molly Gillman, Robert Gonzales Jr., Mark Greenfield, Monica Hammond, Madame Rosebud, Samantha Opitz, Greg Petroff, Peter Reznikoff, Nicholas Teti and Kelly Tuohy.
I Hope They Serve Beer On Broadway, according to press notes, "revolves around [Tucker Max's] own shocking and hair-raising adventures."
The creative team also included costume designer Chloe Chapin, fight choreographer Giselle M. Chatelain, assistant stage manager Katie Santos, assistant director Derek Butts, lighting, sound and set designer Ryan Hauenstein and production stage manager Katy Moore.
