News I Love You. . . Gets New Cast Member as Current Star Becomes a Jersey Boy Jonathan Rayson will join the cast of Off-Broadway's long-running I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, replacing Bryan McElroy — who heads off to Chicago play Tommy DeVito in Jersey Boys.

Rayson will join a cast that currently features Anne Bobby, Frank Vlastnik and Amy White. His first performance will be Oct. 26.

The musical revue — which celebrated its 11th anniversary Off-Broadway Aug. 1 — plays New York's Westside Theatre.

Rayson has previously appeared on Broadway in Little Shop of Horrors (taking the lead for the national tour) and A Year With Frog and Toad. Other credits include Adrift in Macao, That Time of the Year and Hello, Dolly!

James Hammerstein Productions, Bernie Kukoff and Jonathan Pollard produce I Love You. . ., which is directed by Joel Bishoff.

I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change features music by Jimmy Roberts with a book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro. The musical comedy that delves into the world of dating, love and marriage is the longest-running musical revue in Off-Broadway history.

The show has enjoyed success throughout the world, having opened in over 400 different cities, including Los Angeles, Boston, San Francisco, Toronto, Chicago, London, Tel Aviv, Mexico City, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Budapest, Sydney, Prague, Seoul, Milan, Rio de Janeiro and Johannesburg.

The current record holder for longest Off-Broadway run, The Fantasticks (with 17,162 performances), looks to maintain its position in the annals of theatre history for some time. I Love You, You're Perfect marks the first time since Fantasticks that an Off-Broadway musical has reached 11-year status.
