News I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change Toasts Authors with Series, June 1-29 Off-Broadway's long-running musical I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change will host a series of special performances featuring best-selling authors of books dealing with "finding that special someone and the trials and tribulations of dating," with free champagne, starting June 1.

The evenings will "offer audiences opportunities before the show and at intermission to be up-close and personal with best selling writers who have tackled the topic," according to a release. Free champagne will be served as part of the festivities.

The author lineup (subject to change) includes:

  • June 1: Melissa Senate ("See Jane Date")
  • June 8: Valerie Frankel ("The Not-So-Perfect Man")
  • June 18: Evan Marc Katz ("I Can't Believe I'm Buying This Book: A Commonsense Guide to Successful Internet Dating")
  • June 22: Brides' magazine editors ("Brides Wedding Planner: The Perfect Guide to the Perfect Wedding")
  • June 29: Leslie Carroll ("Temporary Insanity") I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change features music by Jimmy Roberts with a book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro. The musical comedy that delves into the world of dating, love and marriage is also the longest-running musical revue in New York history, having broken the record set by Smokey Joe's Cafe.
