News Idina Menzel Postpones November Tour Dates to Return to "Glee" Tony Award winner Idina Menzel, who made her New York Philharmonic debut in February at Avery Fisher Hall, has canceled the majority of her fall tour dates in order to be part of the third season of the hit Fox series "Glee."

In a statement on her official website, the singing actress writes, "Friends, as many of you know I am extremely excited about returning to Glee, yet it comes with one drawback, which is that due to my filming schedule I will have to cancel a majority of my upcoming November tour dates, which I am so disappointed about. I hope you can understand. I was truly looking forward to seeing all of you and will do my best to make it up to you as soon as I can. Lots of love, Idina."

It was previously reported that Tony winner Menzel will return to Fox's "Glee" next season, reprising her role as Rachel Berry's (Lea Michele) mother for a multi-episode arc.

Remaining tour dates follow:

July 30  at the Deer Valley Outdoor Amphitheater in Park City, UT
Sept. 17 at Kleinhans Music Hall in Buffalo, NY
Oct. 6 at Royal Albert Hall in London
Oct. 14-16 at Jones Hall in Houston, TX
Oct. 22 at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles, CA
Nov. 5 at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts in Brookville, NY

Menzel won a Tony Award for Leading Actress in a Musical for her work as Elphaba in Wicked; she also opened the London production of that hit musical. Menzel created the role of Maureen in the original Broadway company of Rent, and her other theatrical credits include the City Center Encores! production of Hair, Manhattan Theatre Club's The Wild Party, the Public Theater's See What I Wanna See and the benefit Funny Girl concert. Menzel's screen credits include "Glee," "Ask the Dust," "Rent" and "Enchanted."
