News Idina Menzel's Carnegie Hall Solo Debut Concert Now Set for 2013 Due to the ongoing closure of West 57th Street following Hurricane Sandy, Tony Award winner Idina Menzel has rescheduled her solo Carnegie Hall concert debut due for a second time.

Originally scheduled for Oct. 29, the famed singing actress had first rescheduled the event for Nov. 4; the concert at the landmark Manhattan venue will now be held Jan. 13, 2013.

All tickets will be honored for the new date. Ticketholders can direct any questions to CarnegieCharge at (212) 247-7800.

Carnegie Hall, in fact, has been forced to reschedule or cancel several of its concerts due to the closure of West 57th Street. Concerts starting on Monday, Nov. 5 and beyond remain on the Carnegie Hall schedule pending the reopening of West 57th Street. Ticketholders are encouraged to check carnegiehall.org for the most up-to-date information. Carnegie Hall has been closed since Oct. 29.

Menzel won a Tony Award for Leading Actress in a Musical for her work as Elphaba in Wicked; she also opened the London production of that hit musical. Menzel created the role of Maureen in the original Broadway company of Rent, and her other theatrical credits include the City Center Encores! production of Hair, Manhattan Theatre Club's The Wild Party, the Public Theater's See What I Wanna See and the benefit Funny Girl concert. Menzel's screen credits include "Glee," "Ask the Dust," "Rent" and "Enchanted."
