News "Idol" Contestant Eliminated; Jennifer Lopez Will Perform on Next Results Show "American Idol" finalist Casey Abrams, who had been saved by the judges earlier in the season, was eliminated from the nation's biggest singing contest April 28 after he received the fewest of America’s votes.

On the April 28 broadcast the Top 6 performed the songs of legendary singer/songwriter Carole King, and Abrams, 20, from Wilmette, IL, sang "Hi De Ho."

On May 4 at 8 PM ET, the Top 5 finalists – Lauren Alaina, James Durbin, Jacob Lusk, Scotty McCreery and Haley Reinhart – will perform songs from "now and then" – one current song and one from the 1960s.

On the May 5 results show, which also begins at 8 PM, TV watchers can expect performances by "Idol" judge Jennifer Lopez, who will perform “On The Floor” with rapper Pitbull; and country music sensation Lady Antebellum.

Among the many "American Idol" finalists and/or winners who have appeared on Broadway are Fantasia, Justin Guarini, Jordin Sparks, Diana DeGarmo, Ace Young, Tamyra Gray, Constantine Maroulis, Frenchie Davis, Clay Aiken and Taylor Hicks.
