The film, which co-stars Birbiglia and Lauren Ambrose, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and subsequently won the audience award in the Next category.
Birbiglia directed the comedy; he penned the script with Joe Birbiglia, Seth Barrish and Ira Glass; the latter produced with Jacob Jaffke. Brian Bedol is the executive producer.
The independent film, according to the industry paper, "follows the day-to-day indecisions and nocturnal perambulations of a commitment-phobic New Yorker."
Sleepwalk With Me, the acclaimed comedy penned by and starring Mike Birbiglia, ended its much-extended run at the Bleecker Street Theater June 7, 2009.
