Immersive theatre company Death’s Head Theatrical will stage a remount of its show Curiousities in a secret theatre-district location next month. The immersive theatre piece is set in an illicit 1930's carnival sideshow, with participants encouraged to wear Depression Era attire.
Curiousities is scheduled to run December 2-18, with 75 audience members invited to each show. Performances will take place at 7 PM and 10 PM. Though the location has yet to be announced, the company announced via Instagram that tickets are now available via Brown Paper Tickets.
Here is how Death’s Head describes Curiousities: “1936. The country is slowly finding itself again following a Great Depression. Though once a ubiquitous (and illicit) distraction from life’s hardships, the carnival sideshow has found itself dwindling in popularity. But not everybody can afford to forget the lives of those on the fringes... Professor Mysterium invites you back this winter to relive the wonder and spectacle of his curiosities, in an exclusive location in Manhattan.”
