Limited engagements of three Broadway musicals will be presented during the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts' 2017-2018 season, as part of the new Broadway Center Stage series.

Lin-Manuel Miranda and Quiara Alegría Hudes' In the Heights, Tim Rice, Benny Andersson, and Björn Ulvaeus Chess, and the Frank Loesser musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying will comprise the series of semi-staged concerts. The evenings will feature Broadway talent as well as actors from Washington, D.C.

Performances are scheduled for February 14–18, 2018 (Chess), March 21–25 (In the Heights), and June 6–10 (How to Succeed...); all three will be staged in the Eisenhower Theater. Casting and creative teams will be announced at a later time.

The upcoming Kennedy Center season will include The Book of Mormon (October 24–November 19, 2017), An American in Paris (December 12, 2017–January 7, 2018), The Humans (January 9–28, 2018), On Your Feet! (January 9–28, 2018), Hamilton (June 12–September 16, 2018), and The Color Purple (July 31–August 26).
