The Lincoln Square Business Improvement District will host the 17th annual Winter’s Eve at Lincoln Square November 28. The event will kick off with the Upper West Side’s only tree lighting ceremony, to be hosted by In Transit’s Justin Guarini, who will also perform holiday classics.

The tree lighting ceremony will take place at Dante Park on Broadway between 63rd and 64th Streets, from 5:30 PM–9 PM. This year’s holiday tree is a 27-ft. Concolor Fir.

Three-time Grammy nominee Bettye LaVette, violinist Alicia Svigals, the Brooklyn-based collective Ikebe Shakedown, and members of the Metropolitan Opera Chorus will also perform on the mainstage alongside Guarini. WABC-TV’s Amy Freeze will broadcast the festivities live on channel 7.

After the tree lighting, the event’s festivities continue along Broadway from Time Warner Center to 68th Street. Theatregoers should head to The Shops at Columbus Circle and check out select performances from the stars of Broadway’s The Great Comet and Chicago. The evening will feature more live music, dance and performances, outdoor food tastings from more than 30 restaurants, and a Dance Party at the TD Dance Tent on 61st Street featuring Steven Bernstein‘s Universal Melody Brass Band, and renowned DJs.
