Carlos Acosta, Director, Birmingham Royal Ballet (London, England)
Acosta, who previously served as a principal dancer at the Royal Ballet, will succeed current Artistic Director David Bintley. Commenting on his new position, Acosta stated, “I want to define what it is to be a world-leading classical ballet company in the 21st century.”

Lear deBessonet, Resident Director, New York City Center Encores! (New York, New York)
DeBessonet will serve as the first ever resident director of City Center's Encores! series. In the newly formed position, the Obie award-winning director will be involved in repertoire selection, casting decisions, and production artists. Applauding deBessonet’s recent appointment, Artistic Director Jack Viertel stated, “To have someone with her broad understanding of where musical theatre has been and where it is going—along with Rob Berman and myself—is going to help us take the program into its next phase armed with wider horizons, full of unexplored possibilities…”

Richard Egarr, Music Director, Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra (San Francisco, California)
Richard Egarr, currently the music director of the Academy of Ancient Music in England, will serve as the Orchestra's music director designate in the 2020-2021 season, The New York Times reports. He will take on the official role and title the following season.

Ken-Matt Martin, Producing Director, Williamstown Theatre Festival (New York, New York)
Ken-Matt Martin is the co-founder and executive director of the Pyramid Theatre Company in Des Moines, Illinois. Martin will be joined by newcomers Lindsey Turteltaub, serving as the director of production, and Devon Levy, joining the team as company manager. Zach Krohn, previously Williamstown Theatre Festival’s associate general manager, will now serve as the director of the professional training program.

Gwydion Suilebhan, Executive Director, PEN/Faulkner Foundation (Washington, DC)
Having served as director of brand and marketing for the Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, Suilebhan is known for approaching theatre in a manner that suits a modern and ever-changing audience. Excited to work for the PEN/Faulkner Foundation, he stated, “I cannot wait to build on four decades of literary history, both national and local, and to ensure that the PEN/Faulkner mission stays relevant and vital.”
