The Williamstown Theatre Festival (WTF) in Massachusetts, presents the world premiere of Albert Innaurato's new play Dreading Thekla July 30-August 10.

Dreading Thekla is the story of a writer, Panna and her love for Michael, a homosexual actor. While leading us through the history of their relationship via flashbacks to the 1970s and early '90s, Innaurato introduces a cast of memorable characters including Thekla, failed actress and self proclaimed "homely sparrow."

Albert Innaurato's plays include Gemini (one of the longest running plays in Broadway history), The Transfiguration of Benno Blimpie, Passione, and Coming of Age in Soho. He has taught at Yale, Princeton and Columbia and has been awarded the Guggenheim, a Rockefeller Grant and two grants from the NEA.

The cast includes: Lisa Benavudes, Alexandra Gersten, Dion Graham, John Benjamin Hickey, and Julie White.
