The Color Purple returns to the U.K. for a one-night-only concert presentation at London’s Cadogan Hall May 21.
The sold-out performance stars Marisha Wallace as Celie, Wendy Mae Brown as Sofia, Tyrone Huntley as Harpo, Cavin Cornwall as Mister, Hugh Maynard as Pa, Seyi Omooba as Nettie, and T’Shan Williams as Squeak.
The performance is being staged to raised funds for The British Theatre Academy and features a chorus of over 40 current BTA participants.

The musical, featuring a score by Brenda Russell, Allee Willis, and Stephen Bray and a book by Marsha Norman, played London's Menier Chocolate Factory in 2013 before transferring to Broadway, where it won two Tony Awards: Best Revival of a Musical and Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical for Cynthia Erivo.
