Oscar recipient and Tony nominee Steve Martin, whose play Meteor Shower is now in previews on Broadway, was honored at the Drama League’s 2017 Benefit Gala, A Musical Celebration of Broadway.
The 34th annual event took place November 6 at the Plaza Hotel in New York City.

In addition to Meteor Shower, which began performances November 1 at the Booth Theatre, Martin co-wrote the score for the 2016 Broadway musical Bright Star, earning him a Tony nomination along with frequent musical collaborator Edie Brickell. In 2014, Martin received an honorary Academy Award for his vast screen career.
