This Sunday, the 19th of April, there will be a critic's panel at Toronto's international du Maurier World Stage Festival. Six of us major Toronto theatre critics -- including the Globe and Mail's Kate Taylor and others from Quebec, the States and overseas, will once again debate some of the thorny issues around theatre criticism.

Moderator Robert Crew, of the Toronto Star, will guide us in questions about the changing role of theatre criticism in today's newspapers, and the relationship of the critic to the artist. It won't be the first or last time these issues will be discussed, but it will be a unique opportunity to listen to a groups of critics from different cultures and countries.

The panel is at 11:30 am in Bravo television's rehearsal hall on Queen St., and is open to the public.
